Who are these people who let themselves get strapped up to sex machines with cameras inside them and wires attached to their nipples? Anyone? Admit it!!

I still like Roach's style, but I wanted her to go deeper (oh my god, I didn't intend that double entendre, there).

698433 Okay, I'll own up. (But seriously... I've been waiting for someone to ask me to do this, all in the name of science, you understand, but I haven't had any takers. Which makes me think: Do these buttless pleather pants make my ass look big?)

26511 Your assets are accentuated perfectly, of course.

Mary Roach did not include any instructions on where to sign up for these experiments, which I think is quite rude of her.

275877 Okay, I admit it... just keep me anonymous Sarah. I mean I can't have people knowing that I have these fun, sexy adventures! By the way I look great in pleather.

747690 what is the science behind the delightful sexual interactions often found in Japanese comics? I wish I had tentacles too, I bet Dr. Octopus has an easy time making pancakes.

26511 I think I'm reading the wrong Japanese comics.

70642 Whoa, sweet...I didn't realize Mary Roach had released another book! I'm behind in the times. I loved Stiff...and I'm a fan of sex, so uh... This is now on my to-read list.

26511 It's not officially released, yet. It comes out April 7th. I just got connections.

I loved Stiff, too. Did you read Spook? I read a little of it, but it wasn't interesting to me.

70642 I envy you and your literary connections...
I haven't read Spook...I wanted to, and then my wanting waned after reading certain reviews and just deciding the subject didn't particularly interest me. It'll probably stay that way.

645979 Sarah, you have inspired me to create my own "sexy as hell" style bookshelf. Now I just need to fill it up...

Hee hee: slid out.

26511 "sexy as hell" is from Catcher in the Rye. I've always enjoyed it.

645979 My new shelf failed. :( Evidently, I'm too wordy for Goodreads...

645979 I wanted to title my shelf "dirty-dirty-though-sometimes-educational-books-about-sex-sexuality-and-other-erotic-fun-times" but it wouldn't allow that many characters. And I can't figure out how to edit the name of an existing shelf, so now I'm stuck with a half-named, un-funny shelf. With only two books in it--I became too discouraged to add more.

Thanks for listening...

616393 I would recommend JapanAmerica by Roland Kelts for a chapter on these intriguing octopus comics: isbn 9781403974754.

I was designing a Halloween costume, so of course like Mary Roach my research on octopi was academic. ;-)
