it was amazing
bookshelves: confidence, diversity, perspectives, predictions

This is a great book to use for a variety of purposes. Although the little hedgehog is embarrassed to have the silly "hat" on his head, he tells the other animals his hat is useful, and they are convinced by his confidence. This would also be a great book to discuss how the hedgehog might have felt about everyone laughing at him, and why it is important to be accepting of people who are different. The pictures at the top show items disappearing from the clothesline one by one, making this a great story for predictions. I would recommend this for a read aloud.
