This story was fun and fast paced as the lives of three teens interweave throughout this historic literary adventure. Although I wouldn't necessarily say that it fits the genre of adventure story to a tee, which made it more of an appealing read to me. Books that take a character from point A to point B in a physical landscape aren't my favorites given the lack of true character development and growth that is partnered to these stories (at least the ones I've read). However, The Clockwork Three has so much more, despite the inclusion of the word "adventure" in its cover blurb. It holds a good deal of history, mystery, and personal growth and development of relationships, as the lives of people who don't know one another cross paths here and there under different circumstances. Although the book was hefty, it was a quick read, mostly because I didn't want to put it down. Highly recommend!
