I ADORE Lora Leigh’s breeds- some of her other series? Not so much. Her Nauti Series I pretty much wasn’t interested in because it seemed an awful lot like her Men of August series which I couldn't get into, but I saw it at the library and decided to give it a shot.

Ugh.

First off I rolled my eyes every time I read the hero’s name. “Dawg”. Is LL serious? DAWG? Plus, I believe this series is a “menage” erotica-lite series. Nope, not this one. No threesomes/foursomes what have you in sight. (Which actually is fine with me- I really don’t get into the whole polyamorphos thing.) But really my distaste was simply the fact I just couldn’t get past that guys name. Dawg!? (I kept turning around to see if Randy Jackson was behind me.) bahahahaha!

Here’s the send up from Leigh’s website:

James “Dawg” Mackey has lusted after sweet Crista Jansen for years. Just as many as she’s spent running from him—and from that dangerous attraction that shot like a spark through her whole body. But now for Crista, running isn’t an option anymore because Dawg’s got a plan. It’s kind of low-down. And kind of hot.

Blackmail is a dirty word, but Dawg will use it if that’s what it takes to get Crista where he wants her. His hungers are too hard and fierce not to. He doesn’t realize that Crista has a longing too. She’s knows what he’s up to, what he’s capable of. He didn’t get that nickname for nothing. And before the night is through, Crista’s making him work for it.

Jenn Scranton Though I totally agree with you about the choice of name... come on! That was a great series! It was hot and I wanted more more more!

I never got into her breed series because there are so many books to it and my library only has maybe 10 and not in order.(go figure #1 they don't have). Can you read that series out of order, or would I be lost?

Zeek haha! Well, honestly I never tried another book in the series so...

As far as the breeds- well darn, you really should start with Tempting the Beast- the writing isnt the best but dang I love me some Callan Lyons. (I'm watching the new Beauty and the Beast tv series and I sweart they totally ripped this series.)

Jenn Scranton I'm going to have to look into that... Okay, I beg you to try at least one more Nauti book... You need to read Nauti Dreams. This one has a far more intense and deep connection beyond "oooo you're a boy and you look good, let's go have sex"... lol though I don't mind those scenarios in books, lol.
