Iron Kissed (Mercy Thompson, #3)
by Patricia Briggs
by Patricia Briggs
Definitely, one of my favorite books, even within the series.
It made me fall a little in love with Ben (whom I kind of hated before) and I reflected Mercy's feelings of both Samuel and Adam, not to mention the loneliness and revulsion towards the end.
Zee is put in jail, and Coyote, Mercedes, gets recruited by Uncle Mike to use her special talents to help figure out who did it, especially before the Grey Lords railroad Zee to get an open and shut case instead of human police involved in Fae Affairs. Mercy also has to choose between Adam, Sam, or being on her own.
Mercy finally makes a decision and has to live with the consequences, has to save Zee without the help or protection of the Fae, all while having the Grey Lords after her, gets caught up in a big mess with the real murderer and ends up paying a horrible price that doesn't kill her, but might break her.
like I said, one of my absolute top 5 books of all time. It made me laugh, it made me stand on edge biting my nails, it made me cry, it gave me a lump in my stomach... this book has everything. Read it!
