This book is based on a somewhat obscure fairy tale called "East of the Sun and West of the Moon", which is sort of like a cross between "Snow White and Rose Red" and "Beauty and the Beast". I enjoyed the style of this book. (Every chapter is written in the perspective of a different character.) The story itself was good as well. However, there was nothing really special or particularly memorable about this book. I liked it, but it isn't one of my favorites.
