This is a very easy read that we can use as a "hook" for a lesson. Some examples of lessons I would use this book for is when students are learning sequence (we can re-tell the story afterwards in the same order), chores (talking about responsibilities of students and comparing it with the responsibility of the dog in the story), or even when learning about different types of animals. It is a very simple book, and I would use it for students who are in the younger grades, not for 4th~5th grade students.
