This is an amazingly complete account of the events leading up to the school shooting at Columbine High School in 1999. Also covered is the incident itself and the aftermath. I was at my dad's house when this occurred, located only about eight miles northwest of the school. Fourteen years earlier I myself had graduated from Bear Creek High School, also located in Jefferson county. When I was in high school I knew several kids that attended Columbine. This was one of those days you just do not forget. Growing up in Jefferson County I always respected the Sheriff's Department in the area and thought that they were a pretty good bunch of guys and gals. This book exposes a cover up by the sheriffs department that is absolutely unforgivable. A very raw look at an incident that was one of those moments in my life that I will not forget this book is magnificent in its breadth and scope of coverage.

William I am a high school teacher in Nova Scotia, Canada, and we were recntly inserviced on proper school lockdown procedures in case of a similar instance like those terrible events at Columbine. All schools around here have these procedures in place because of what happened that very tragic day. God bless all those people who were directly affected by this tragedy.
