Damn. I mean, damn. This was the best high fantasy novel I'd read in a really long time. I thought EON was great, but EONA was even better. I loved the Asian-inspired landscape, the world-building, Goodman's exploration of "absolute power corrupts absolutely", and the whole "magical healing" thing was even explored and criticized. It was even swoony!

It's been a while since I enjoyed something so thoroughly. Damn.
