really liked it

Because this book was written in a more modern time than Anne Frank I think this book was easier from myself when I read it to connect to. Being around the same age of the protagonist made me feel as if she was some kind of friend from far away. If you're expecting someone with the literary excellence of Anne Frank then you'll be disapointed. Just remember the context of the times in which each was written and that makes each read more enjoyable (at least when I read "older" books that's what I do).
