"Into the Gauntlet" by Margaret Peterson Haddix is a great story of how two young heros, Amy and Dan Cahill, along with their au-pair, Nellie, work with a series of clues left by there beloved grandmother Grace to do the impossible. They are given the job of bring a family back together after hundreds of years of fighting, murdering, back-stabbing, hatred, and revolts. Will they be able to make it out of the gauntlet alive, much less bring their family back together?

I really liked watching how each of the characters tranformed throughout this book. Seeing how all of their individual stories affected everyone and getting to watch as they all learned who they were, where they belonged, and what that even meant, was thrilling.

I would recommend this book to anyone. Its full of suprises, suspense, and excitment that will leave you wanting more.
