Lord Rahl has an unknown half-sister, and Jensen is the star of this story. Richard and Kahlan don’t even appear until the end. I wasn’t happy about that but nonetheless the story grips your attention. Jensen is deluded by Emperor Jagang’s agent, Sebastian, into believing her brother is evil and wants her dead. Not only do soldiers pursue her, but so does another half-brother Oba who murders his way through the land. What will happen when these people meet up? I didn’t quite get the significance of the Pillars or why the confrontation had to take place there. Was it because the Pillars were the seat of the Creator and if Jensen kills Richard, she’ll open the Veil to the Underworld? The Keeper tries to use her for his own means but will she discover the truth in time?
