liked it

I have read this book three times for school. It's one of those fun ones. Yes, it's melodramatic and dated, but it is Gothic and that's always good. A bad guy that may as well have a bar mustache, a damsel that cannot escape distress, and a hero that shows up out of the forest in Robin Hood get-up...what's not to like?

Okay, the poetry is schmaltzy. The third part drags. And, if you're looking for action scene to action scene...well, let's just say there's a lot of nature shots (blissful descriptions of forests and mountains, etc).
