Blair's review
The Namesake
by Jhumpa Lahiri
I don't mind being outted for being A Party of Five watcher, though it sorta slipped my mind, with all the nostalgic 9-0 I've been watching, but yes, really good books do that, and are more real because they're not real. But real.
And oh, you think you're not a good reviewer, but I just talked myself in circles about reality in writing, and I'm a writer. So there.

I loved this book. I am terrible reviewer, so please forgive my silly but heartfelt thought about this book.
When I was in high school and college, I became enamored of the tv drama "Party of Five". I distinctly remember having a conversation with my BFF, Danielle (shout-out), about how we thought that the Salinger family in San Fran really did exist, because the family conflicts and characters were so finely wrought and real (well, maybe with the exception of J. Lo. Hewitt).
Anyhow, reading this book felt real, like that.
