This book puzzled me. It is right up my ally despite all the vampire & werewolf stuff that I usually gravitate away from (too cliche). But as for everything else, it should be a book I love to read. However, I have been reading this book for what seems like 3 weeks. I put it down and feel absolutely no compulsion to pick it back up. When I finally do go back to it, I read a few chapters and then get drawn to another book which I read before coming back. I have read about 10 other books while I've been reading this one.

It's a relatively good book and I like the trilogy but am just having a bit of a hard time getting excited about #3. I'll probably read it so I can say I read the series but I'm not dying to know what happens.

And having not read #3, I can say that it's becoming very transparent that Jace is not really Clary's brother, but rather the son of the dead Inquisitor and that their romance will work out in the end. If I'm wrong, I'll eat my sock.
