It's his "existentialist" novel. Written in Paris while he was in self-imposed exile, hanging out with Sartre, de Beauvoir and Camus, Wright basically tries to write his own "Nausea" or "The Stranger." It's no "Native Son" or "Black Boy" but I still read it in like a day.
