Strong, promising first half (was on its way to a four star rating!) but then it got a bit grose. I could have handled the (fair amount of strong) language but some of the sex stuff was a bit disgusting, and in fact, the story could have done without it; at that point I had mentally downgraded it to a two. It picked up again towards the end though I'm not quite sure I'm convinced by how it all ended.

Really liked the narrator, nice, warm voice and finally someone with a proper South African accent who could actually speak Afrikaans!! How refreshing!

It's a white South African tale but captivating and interesting enough, and it's set in the 'new' South Africa. Makes me miss South Africa and that I really should go back at some point...

Muphyn You know what?! It is really quite good!! For some reason, I didn't have much expectation for this one but it's actually very gripping and enjoyable!
