Sad and sweet short story/graphic novel of a young boy 's belief that his dead father will come back to him one more time in the spring. Mind-bending graphics combine reality with un-reality. They are quirky, revelatory and imaginative all at once. Set in the UK, some of the expressions may be unfamiliar to young American readers but Slog's love and belief, as told by his best friend, Davie come shining through. This is more a vignette than a novel but satisfying, none-the-less.
