The only weak link in the series, and it's still pretty enjoyable, if a bit short. It does make the reader happy to see Will, Barney, Jane and Simon brought together in one book, connecting their narratives and familiarizing them with each other to continue the series. However the book mostly follows Jane, the only female in the main cast, and while it does homage to the power of the feminine in British/Celtic mythology, it's off putting to focus do deeply on one of the characters when Will Stanton and the Drew siblings finally meet.. While it lacks a bit in the breath taking adventure elements present in the previous novels, it holds all of the strange mystery
