Great book. This is a great detective novel where a guy is trying to solve something and gets in way deeper than he expected. There is some really disturbing imagery in here so be warned.

It's funny though, I was just talking to a person who wasn't a fan of sci fi. I asked them why? Sci fi has many of the same plots that "regular" fiction does it is just a different setting. Of course, sci fi is uniquely situated to deal with issues that could not possibly come up in a regular fiction book, in this case it is the idea of self and what makes you you. Is it your body? What if your body could change? More specifically, if you could switch bodies. But the usual human element is still there and very recognizable: revenge, sex, and responsibility. Don't let the fantastic setting scare you off - it is a good book.

I have every intention of buying anything else by this author.
