Seems kind of weird to read a book about motherhood when I don't have kids, nor do I plan on having any. But I do have opinions about parenting, as does most of the world, and that's partly what this book is about: How we all find the urge to judge other people's parenting. I really appreciated Waldman's candor, and, in some cases, bravery, in writing about some touchy subjects. I wouldn't say these are topics that no one's ever talked about--mommy blogs are based on that kind of candor--but I do think she writes about these things much better than a lot of the mommy bloggers have.
And now I am going to be really creepy and read her husband's book about parenting, "Manhood for Amateurs."
