After finally cleaning up the financial mess left by her ex-husband, Rita retreats to her aunt’s beach house on the Jersey Shore for a summer of low-key R&R. When she decides to open a massage therapy business, her aunt insists that Mitch, the handsome yet mysterious handyman living above the garage, help with construction. Rita agrees, but is skeptical of all men since her divorce and is reluctant to get involved with anyone Mitch is no exception — despite his good looks and their chemistry.

When Rita gets a disturbing phone call she brushes it off as a prank. But after it is the first of many and other mysterious things begin to occur, Rita knows something’s not right. Could someone be trying to sabotage her? Between starting a new business, her unwanted role in a love triangle and trying to save her aunt’s house from being sold, Rita’s summer is turning out to be anything but relaxing.

The backdrop in Dangerous Sands plays a major role in this sexy and suspenseful contemporary romance, and the Jersey Shore is a charming and picturesque secondary character. Heroine, Rita, is strong-willed and at times stubborn, but hero Mitch is just the right amount persistent and sexy and the duo’s tug-of-war is amusing to watch. The build-up between the pair is slow and steady, making their delayed gratification that much sweeter. In addition, the whodunit element will have readers quickly turning the page, eager to find out what will happen next.
