REVIEW
The bad news - When I started this book, I didn’t realize it was the sixth in a series. The good news – It didn’t really matter because I had no problem picking up the plot and understanding the characters. Winner!
If you have read any of the other Maximum Ride books, you know that they center around a flock of winged teens. The flock’s leader, a bird girl named Max, has been prophesized to save the world. As you would expect, there is A LOT of action.
What you might not expect though, is a love story. Max is torn between her soul mate Fang, and a new member of the flock named Dylan. I liked that the softer sides of the characters were revealed.
I also liked the plot that centered on Angel, a bird girl who wants to the flock’s leader. She is bossy and will do pretty much anything to get her way. Sort of a character that you love to hate.
No spoilers here, but the ending is surprising and left me wanting to read more.
Thank you to Little, Brown and Company for sending this book for me to review.
