Eishes Chayil (Woman of Valor) has written a story about the closed and often misunderstood Hasidic community. Like any insular community, Gittel's religion & culture prevents her from speaking up about the tragic events leading to her best friend's suicide at the age of 9. Now 17 and about to be married, Gittel decides to do the right thing even if it goes against the society rules.

This is powerful and moving story and reminds readers that tragedy can cross religious, social and cultural bounderies but ew must fight for what is right in order to protect children.
