Crystal Singer brought me in because of the beautiful cover art and the author. Still I was sold after getting half way through it. I read this when I was a late teenager. It was a fun read and likely my first science ficiton read. It is, like most of Anne's stories, a very slowly paced story. It is sensual and origional. If you've found any power or mystery in crystals, read this book, they play as the focus of the worlds and their ability to travel between them. I'd call it our oil. The power plays and price to pay for collecting them are infinitely similar.
