Why do I keep wasting my time on James Patterson? He's got more money than he could possibly spend in three lifetimes...just do us all a favor and retire already!!

This book was so disappointing. The entire time I was reading it I felt like there was something missing. I felt the authors left out the fun dynamic of Michael Bennett's children and that the crime case was just lacking and not at all well developed. Generally I can hardly wait for the next book in a series but this was truly a sad disappointment.

This is the kind of story you'd read if you didn't have anything else to do...at all...it fell short in a LOT of ways. I really wanted to like it; after all, Patterson is considered the 'King of thrillers'. But the villain just didn't gel with me and the crime-solving was a bit too uncomplicated. I think the author needs to quit copycatting off so many cheap movies and TV shows and put more effort into his writing.
