If you like the paranormal genre you will love this book! It was by pure luck that I received a copy of Crimson Wind so I picked up the kindle verson of bitter night! Even though I my favorite genre is the paranormal I unfortunately had never heard of Diana Pharaoh Francis or her books, which is my loss. The world Horngate witches whick consists of shadowblades, witches, angels, and sunspears is meticulously thought out. I fell in love with the characters of Max and Alexander. Diana has a way of conveying a strong sense for family even in the paranormal sense throughout this book. For you action fans, the fight scenes are extremely well thought out. I prefer not to go into the details of this book because I think for any fan of the paranormal especially fans of Patricia Briggs, It is a must read! This book is the first book in the Horngate Witches series, I can only hope the the second book Crimson Wind is just that good.
