In the blurb, the Clifton Chronicles is hailed as Jeffrey Archer's most ambitious work in four decades of writing as a best-selling author. Only Time Will Tell, as part one of the five-part series indicates this might well be true.

Jeffrey Archer, in the past few years, has become one of my very favorite authors. He has written some really great books in the past but OTWT, in my opinion, is one of those that stands apart from the rest. It is the story of two families, the Cliftons and the Barringtons, and how their lives get entangled by an impulsive act, a tragic event and then some.

Combining all that defines Archer's unique writing style- a great beginning, a seemingly simple flow, clever references to the well-known and obscure and above all, a charming use of the language- with a fresh storyline, Only Time Will Tell is vintage Archer.

A brilliant read, that ends on a great cliffhanger (unlike one of Archer's neatly tied-up ends).

Will the series be as good as part one?
Only time will tell.
