liked it

The Recruit, written by Robert Muchamore, is a great book that is just the Alex Rider series. I must say that if you liked Alex Rider you would love this series of books. James, the newest recruit to Cherub, the secret organization, just witnessed his mother’s death. She didn’t die from a car accident or by a gun, she died from an over dose of pills. So James is then put into a foster home. Well what he doesn’t know is that people are watching him, and waiting for the right time to come and get him. When the time was right they took him to the Cherub base camp and made him a new agent of the organization. He has to go through a lot of training, and meets some friends on the way. He learns valuable lessons along the way as well. He then goes on his first mission and completes it. He then becomes a higher rank and is able to do more dangerous missions, which is in the next book.

If you like action books then this is for you. It has a lot of action all throughout the book and makes you not want to put the book down. This was a great book, just like Alex Rider but with a little more action and special scenes. This book is a little to old for some kids. I would recommend this book to teens and adults. It does have some language and some scenes but it is not that bad. This is a great book and I would recommend you read it.
