This is my first experience of Georgette Heyer.
After finding her crime novels in the 3 for £5 section in The Works, I decided to scoop a few up.
I'm now wishing I grabbed the lot.

They are pure joy and wonderful plummy escapism. I laughed out loud constantly at the turns of phrase used, at one point a burglary is described as both a bore and utterly thrilling.

It's very much written in the Agatha Christie vein and has left be bemused as to why they've none of them made it on to the small screen.
