I really liked this book because I thought it was historically correct and provided an aweosme first hand account of what life was like in the tenements during the 1920's. It was interesting to see how the relationships played out as well as how sarah was able to leave her past behind and pursue her own career and dreams. I thought the overall writing was supurb as well. Every word seemed to be descriptive and make the reader really empathize with sarah as she went through her journey.
