A good mystery that I got wrong until the last clue. Hey, at least it wasn't the reveal. The story of struggling to find oneself and then redefined as one of two is a tough one. The hero could almost be seen as a prick, but the interaction between the protagonists works. It's harsh at times, but cathartic. The scenery and secondary characters are fabulous. The tale spinning--well done.
Perhaps the 3 star ratings is because I wanted to shake a couple of the characters, not because it wasn't a good read. Likability is an index and it went up and down spasmodically. First, Nora Roberts read under that pseudonym, but I have a couple JD Robb novels under the belt before tackling this one. What can I say? Not everyone can be Roarke.
