(To be fair, I listened to the audio version of this book which may have taken awy the impact of the book than if I had actually read it) Oh Micheal Pollan - what promise this book held for me!! The titles alone intrigue me beyond words as a fellow lover of plants and gardening. But sadly, this book was boring! Boring! Boring! Boring! The prose - and really truly was very poetry-like writing - it was so fluffy and flowery and blah. I don't like fluffy writing. The content material was fantastic - how man change plants like cannabis and tulip bulbs to suit his needs - but the execution was definitely not my style. I may try to actually read another one of his books since like I said they hold much promise for plant lovers, but as of now, I'm signing off on Michael Pollan
