Read from March 06 to 11, 2011

"Anne of the Island" is a realistic fiction, 245 page, 12 font novel. First off, this is the third book of the Anne of Green Gables series. Anne, the main character is from a small island in Canada; Avonlea. However, she chooses to go about reaching for her dreams and goes to a college in mainland Canada. She isn't the only one from the island going on this journey though, two of her schoolmate friends go with her. The two boys both take a fancy to her but she turns down an engagement from one, and avoids the other whenever things get to close. Then, Anne's life really get's exciting when she finds friends in college, rents a house, and highly achieves in school. Throughout her journey she deals with death and many other challenges. Her life comes to a high point with numbers of marriage engagements going on around her and Anne dealing with her own love life. I would recommend this book to any fan of romances or classics.
In my opinion I would give this book 9 stars. In addition, I love the ending! Overall it was a lovely read!
