Young and stupid people are young and stupid. Hurrr. I do love the attention to detail though. The meticulously constructed picture of daily life in this place and this time made it worth the read, for sure, and I suspect that I will grow to like the MC a bit more as she grows up. If I can get past the extreme religiousness. That is a pretty big and alien wall for me to climb. It leaves me scratching my head and WTF-ing most of the time. I mean...running into a burning church to save some pieces of metal and some crackers? Really?
