City of Night (Dean Koontz's Frankenstein, #2)

The series seems to be getting interesting to me. I haven't read much Koontz, but one thing that many readers say is that he doesn't translate well to film. One of the elements I see in what I have read here is that his writings rely greatly on the reader's imagination. I think he has found a way to write in a way that becomes more horrific through the images that morph through the reader's mind that would be too limited in film. There are scenes here, and in the next book, that wouldn't work if filmed. It wouldn't have the impact.
For those who think that books are obsolete because film as special effect technology have gotten so great, here is a reason to think again.
