Midnight in Death (In Death, #7.5)
by J.D. Robb
by J.D. Robb
This one is a novella (contained in the anthology SILENT NIGHT) and took all of two hours to read. Unfortunately, I remembered about it out of sequence and read it after CONSPIRACY IN DEATH instead of before). Our heroine, EVE DALLAS has issues with a madman she put away three years ago. Now he has escaped and killed the Judge who put him away and left a printed list of the people he's got targeted and who've had a hand in putting him in the cage. Eve has to catch him again, before he gets to her 'family' or herself.
