While this novel was certainly gripping, and I wanted to read to the end, the epistolary format was getting me down. And though I love a bummer as much as the next girl, I kept wanting to shake the unhappy people who populate this book.

Gabby I think it helps when reading this book to have had some kind of experience with a child like Kevin. I was impressed with how the author seemed to know exactly what the mother thought and tried to do about what she recognized in her son from the very beginning. Which is why the ending came as such a shocker to me. I'm reading your book, The Vacationers, so I know you are very perceptive about behavior in other people. Maybe you would enjoy this book more if you approached it from a different perspective. BTW, I am enjoying TV very much. Such a sly sense of wit you have! :)
