Odd Hours (Odd Thomas, #4)
by Dean Koontz
by Dean Koontz
I'll have to review all four books here, as they don't list as a series/boxset, and I don't recall which details happened in which book. I'm not much for "horror" books, though I'd read a few Koontz books a decade or so ago, but heard enough from fans of the series to give it a try. Enough "quirk" which I like, to balance the violence, which I'm not such a fan of (I don't need to feed my overactive imagination). I did get into the stories and the mystery aspects. The character keeps things at a bit of a distance, so I wasn't as connected to him as I might have liked. I was really sorry his girlfriend was killed off in book one, because the relationship could have filled in a bit more of his character. Then we lost Elvis whom I liked a lot, and his friend who writes mysteries...no one makes it long with this guy. So I was a little frustrated that any personal side stories were continually cut off, but the stories kept me going and I'll definately pick up the next one, if/when Koontz gets around to it!
