Read from May 08, 2011 to March 09, 2013

Tried reading a couple of years ago but gave up around page 300. After being suggested the audio book, I decided to reserve it from the library to listen to on my long commute. Since its always on back order, it took 3 times of putting it on hold to finally finish. It was better the second time around, but occasionally I would space off during long descriptions. I will admit I am impressed how well I was able to keep track of characters with so many, so I think that is skill in a fantasy epic. Still, with its reputation I was expecting to be instantly engaged. Now I can finally watch the TV show, which may be immensely more interesting if it cuts the waste out. The ending did intrigue me, so I may try out the second book for size.

Some descriptive sentences are too textbook, but it seems to be flowing better now. I look forward to see where this goes and I fortunately have been able to avoid spoilers!"

Corinne Taking off currently reading list since I haven't looked at this since November. Was on page 289. Maybe I'll pick it up again someday.
