it was amazing

I really loved this book. I love how Ms. Hamilton has a such a way with moving a story along. I have to admit that I love an author who can make me actually gasp aloud and laugh out loud in the same book. I love Anita's spunky attitude! She doesn't take crap from anyone. I am really, really sad to be missing alone time with Jean-Claude though. Besides Anita, he is probably my favorite character. I like to go back to that scene in I think Book 6 where he finally seduces Anita, it is just so damn funny when he falls in the tub! He really is quite a like-able guy, for a vampire.
Anyways, it was nice to see Anita with her "team" again. Although Olaf was disturbing as always, and Bernardo was the never ending flirt, it was great to see them again. I also love how Edward is always there for her, like a big brother. While I missed all the guys from St. Louis it was great getting to know the guys better.
I kind of wished Anita would have punched Shaw in the face. Just saying....
Now, is Marmee Noir truly dead? Time will only tell I guess....
I was really upset about Requiem and kind of horrified at the orgy Anita participated in while unaware, but the Epilogue really cleared up some loose ends. I wonder how things are going to pan out with Crispin and Domino being in St. Louis now.
I hope that the next book is set in her hometown. While I'm not really aching for a romantic book, I do miss Anita as a hard, don't-mess-with-me vampire hunter. I liked that she kind of went back towards that in this installment.
Anyways, I'm hopeful and full of anticipation for # 18 !
