I would give it 3 1/2 stars if goodreads had that option.

Evie has cancer. She has just been told that there is nothing that can be done. She is dying. She takes a cab from the Dr. office and yells at him to stop, causing a car accident that would be fatal for her. But, fortunately for her, she has been stalked by a vampire. He runs off with her and changes her.

The vampire, James, sensed something different about her and knew she was suffering from a terminal illness. He watched and waited for a good time to approach her and ask if she would like to become immortal.

Evie jumps from the fying pan and into the fire with her change. A vampire war is on the horizon and her immortal existance is in danger of ending prematurely. The romance between Evie and James is sudden and honestly reminds me of a mixture of a few popular series out there. I would say that Elisa Paige takes some of the better parts and creates her own take on a vampire romance.

I stayed up until 11:30 reading last night, because I could not put it down. The ending is intense and leaves you at a major cliff hanger. I would say that this is an entertaining novel. Caution for anyone sensitive to intimacy and profanity. Both are contained in the pages of this book.
