This book was nothing to write home about. It wasn't terrible, but it also wouldn't have held my interest if I had tried to read a paper copy.

Very little actually happens in the book. Most of it involves Roe, the main character, ruminating about the clues she's run across so far, and having a social life. When the solution comes, it basically falls into her lap, and made me feel vaguely frustrated. The outcome felt like it was a matter of Roe biding her time until the solution presented itself.

There are hints and peeks of the dynamic characters that inhabit Harris's later books, but this book is very clearly an earlier novel, written before Harris had fully developed the talent that now makes her so popular.
