I loved this book and read it in one day. I just couldn't put it down once I started reading it.

It was funny, edgy, light-hearted and dark at the same time. Sophie was a great character, a misfit trying to fit in and unaware of the heredity and family history that made her different from everyone else. Her friendship with Jenna was heart-warming and commendable, despite all the hostility and contempt she received from the other students of Hex Hall because of it. I loved her sense of humour.

I found this book to be exceptionally well-written and I will definitely read the sequel.
