it was amazing
Read in October, 2009 — I own a copy

This is the story of a doctor who spent 18 mo in a Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon in the 80s. It is very much a human interest story and of a harrowing time. It was written in a was that made me feel as though I was there.

It's not necessarily political, but you can form some opinions... Gives you a sense of the situation at the time...without having to toe the party line of "Israel's always right".
