The Sequel to The Last Templar, now who would have thought there could be a sequel to a novel with the word Last in the title, by Raymond Khoury. It is a nice twist on the Templar genre...an Iranian agent is intent on destroy the basis of Western Civilization and decides that a Templar Hoard of gnostic gospels which would fracture the underpinings of Christianity is just the trick. The Iranian is a vicious cruel man with an agenda that encompasses bombings, murders, torture and a willingness to do anything to achieve success. As with many thrillers...there are chases mixed with long explanations of past and prologue. There's Sufis, Rumi, loads of Cappadocia, some truly bad puns and a certain degree of fast paced excitement...are the Templars done for Khoury, probably not...there's an opening for yet another book in the last few pages....
