I just couldn't connect with the characters in this book. It wasn't unreadable (or I wouldn't have been able to finish it), but I kept waiting for there to be some sort of plot. The whole book felt vague and slightly lost to--I don't know, maybe that was the point?--and it ended without much fanfare, which I suppose makes sense, since there weren't any loose ends to tie up a plot. I have no idea where I expected it to go, though. I often judge books based on whether I would read them again and this one is firmly in the two-stars camp: I was able to read it in its entirety but I will never pick it up again.
