Having just read this for the third time, I've sneaked the rating up to 5 stars. I know it won't be the last time, and what other reason to give a book 5 stars than because you love it so much you read it over and over?
I'm so in love with these guys!
It's a real turning point in the series with Vic's coming of age. Up til now he's just been getting by. Now everything is opening up and he's having to find his big boy pants to face a whole new future in so many ways. Nothing like facing your fears, and Vic does it in his own unique style.
This really takes the story to a new level. Vic finding his voice, seeing more of Crash, Vic discovering more about his talent than he did his whole time in Camp Hell.
Some interesting paranormal concepts brought in to add meat.
It just works for me in soooo many ways.
