With this second installment of the Madison Avery series Kim Harrison is once again delivering a gripping book that is sending many good messages without spelling them out, by making you think. The book is the message and -in my opinion- doing to the reader what it does to the characters in the book: Very real characters have to make decisions and deal with their fall out and are being tought to consider consequenses before acting. Does it always work? See for yourself and decide!

Madison has almost accepted being what she is; and has to learn dealing with it throughout this book. Not being perfect makes her so likable that I think this is a great book book for YAs. Short little thoughts: Life is a wild ride... decisions, choices, being your self without blocking others from being them selves and acceptance... Will it work? We'll see, as the ending is leaving room to learn much more...

I love this series and am looking forward to Harrison's next book...
