Highly amusing, terribly witty in that dry, terribly witty British way.

My brain doesn't retain factual history stuff very well, unless it's disguised as an interesting personal story. This book taught me more about British history (and in a non-painful way) than I've ever managed before.

Which reminds me of my mom & I setting out to watch all 1,800 DVDS on the History of Britain, narrated by Simon Schama (sp?). We were both dozing off within 15 minutes. Dry without the wit is very painful.
